Product Information

Description

Rejuvra® is a restoration herbicide that features a unique mode of action for rangeland, providing long-lasting control of invasive annual grass and broadleaf weed species, including cheatgrass, medusahead, ventenata, and red brome. Managing the soil seed bank of these invasive annual plants is now a reality.

With the help of Rejuvra® (indaziflam) herbicide, it is possible to stop invasive annual grasses by preventing the germination of their seeds and depleting the weed seed bank. This pre-emergent restoration tool shows consistent control for up to four years with just one application.

Application Timing

Rejuvra provides pre-germination control of seedlings by disrupting and inhibiting normal root growth as the root tries to emerge from the seed. In general, Rejuvra has no post-germination activity meaning that it does not control plants after they have established the first root.

  • For control of annuals, Rejuvra must be applied before they germinate.
  • In order to provide pre-germination control of annuals, Rejuvra must first be activated by rainfall.
  • Many herbicides are degraded quickly by sunlight if they lie on the soil surface before rainfall allows them to bind with soil particles. In contrast, Rejuvra has good photostability, meaning minimal breakdown on the soil surface as a result of exposure to sunlight. This allows some flexibility in application timing relative to rainfall.
  • Rejuvra should be applied with an expectation of precipitation within two months after application.
  • To increase the chance of activating rainfall before annual grass germination, a minimum time of one month between application and the first expected germination of annual grasses is recommended.

Features

  • Consistent, long-term weed control: Up to four seasons of control of invasive grasses, depending on weather, grazing pressure, and other factors.
  • Non-volatile and good photostability: Does not leave the application site as a vapor and has good stability when exposed to sunlight. This allows flexibility in application timing relative to rainfall events needed to activate the herbicide.
  • Releases perennial native vegetation: Perennial plants respond quickly to the additional water and nutrients that become available when invasive annual grasses are controlled.
  • Resistance management: An effective tool for managing herbicide-resistant weeds.
  • Reduced time and labor costs: Fewer applications are needed to control weeds.
  • Flexible tank-mixing: Can be tank-mixed with both pre-and post-emergent herbicides.
  • No grazing restrictions: For an application rate of 5 oz/acre.
