Description
DIBROM® Concentrate is the leading mosquito adulticide for aerial applications and is ideally suited for public health or mosquito-abatement programs. It is extremely effective at controlling mosquitoes (even populations that have developed resistance to pyrethroids) and flies with minimal environmental persistence. DIBROM Concentrate is an organophosphate insecticide to be applied for the control of adult mosquitoes, houseflies, gnats, midges, adult stable flies, and certain other nuisance insects in residential areas, municipalities, woodlands, livestock pastures, feed lots, and pastures, including dairy cattle.

Where & When to Use
DIBROM should be applied to control insects in residential areas, municipalities, tidal marshes, swamps, woodlands, agricultural areas (when applied in wide-area public pest control programs sponsored by governmental entities), livestock pastures, feed lots, and pastures, including dairy cattle. Applications should be made when insects are active.
Mode of Action
DIBROM’s active ingredient is Naled, which is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor which is a chemical that inhibits the cholinesterase enzyme from breaking down acetylcholine. This allows overstimulation of the insect’s nervous system causing muscle twitching, convulsions, paralysis, and eventually death.
