BVA 2 Mosquito Larvicide Oil is a highly refined oil used primarily to control immature mosquitoes. When applied evenly over the water surface it rapidly interrupts the air water interface and suffocates the larvae and pupae. This quick action makes it an effective larvicide and pupicide for any program.

Where & When to Use
Use BVA 2 Mosquito Larvicide Oil when mosquito larvae and pupae are present in these areas: swamps, marshes, flood water areas, drainage areas, waste treatment facilities, settling ponds, ditches, and other manmade depressions containing stagnant water pools including abandoned swimming pools, fountains and ponds. This oil provides a short residual period of 1 to 3 days.
Mode of Action
When applied correctly, BVA 2 produces a film of oil on top of the water surface that inhibits the mosquito larvae from obtaining oxygen (breathing) resulting in their rapid suffocation.
